Binance has the deepest liquidity in crypto and a powerful API for spot, futures (USDⓈ-M & COIN-M), margin and market data over REST and WebSocket. Here's how to get keys and what it costs.
| Use | Costo |
|---|---|
| Market data (REST/WS) | Gratuito |
| Spot trading fee | ~0.1% (less with BNB / VIP) |
| USDⓈ-M futures (taker) | ~0.04% |
| API access | Gratuito |
1. Sign up / log in at binance.com and complete identity verification (KYC) — required for API trading.
2. Vai a Account → API Management.
3. Clic Create API, choose System generated, label it, and verify by 2FA/email.
4. Copia il API Key E Secret — the secret is shown only once.
5. Set permissions (enable only what you need: Reading, Spot Trading, Futures) and restrict access to your server IP.
Never share your secret; it can't be recovered (regenerate if leaked). For data-only bots, enable Reading only. Always whitelist your IP. Disable withdrawals on API keys unless you absolutely need them — a leaked withdraw-enabled key drains your account.
Bybit and OKX have similar APIs with lower derivatives fees; for pure price data, CoinGecko is simpler. See Bybit E OKX.
Yes. Creating API keys and calling market-data endpoints costs nothing — you only pay Binance's normal trading fees on orders the API places, around 0.1% for spot (less with BNB or VIP tiers) and roughly 0.04% taker on USDⓈ-M futures.
Sign up and complete identity verification (KYC) at binance.com, go to Account → API Management, click Create API, choose System generated, label it and verify by 2FA/email, then copy the API Key and Secret — the secret is shown only once.
Spot REST endpoints share a 6,000 request-weight-per-minute limit per IP, tracked via the X-MBX-USED-WEIGHT response header. Order placement is additionally capped at 100 orders per 10 seconds and 200,000 orders per 24 hours. Exceeding a limit returns HTTP 429.
Enable only the permissions you need (Reading-only for data bots), restrict the key to your server's IP address, never enable withdrawals unless absolutely required, and store the secret in an environment variable rather than in client-side code or a git repo.
