How to install (Chrome / Edge / Brave)
- Download the .zip above and unzip it to a folder you'll keep.
- Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions).
- Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
- Pin the AI Usage Tracker icon — open Claude/ChatGPT/etc., send a message, then click the icon to see your usage.
A one-click Chrome Web Store version is coming — for now this is the free developer install.
What it tracks (honest version)
It counts the messages you send on each AI site — a real, reliable proxy for how much you're using each assistant — and shows today and this week totals in one popup. It also surfaces any limit / "resets in" notice the site displays.
What it can't do: show the exact Claude Pro / ChatGPT Plus subscription percentage — those providers don't expose that number to anyone outside their own app. So this tracks your real activity instead, which is the closest honest measure.
