APICostCalc does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. All calculators run entirely in your browser. The AI Usage Tracker extension stores usage counts locally on your device only — nothing is sent to any server.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics with anonymised IP addresses to understand aggregate traffic (page views, country, browser). This is only activated if you accept cookies via the cookie consent banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.
Contact form. If you submit a message via the contact page, we receive your email address and message text. We use this only to respond to you and do not share it with third parties.
No account, no login. APICostCalc has no user accounts. All calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
We use one first-party cookie (cc_ok) to remember your cookie consent choice. Google Analytics sets its own cookies only if you have consented. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Some links on this site are affiliate links (marked with rel="sponsored"). Clicking them may set a cookie on the destination site. We do not receive personal data from these clicks — only aggregate commission reports.
The extension counts the number of messages you send on supported AI assistant websites (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Copilot, Poe, Mistral, Google AI Studio). These counts are stored using chrome.storage.local — a storage area that exists only in your browser on your device.

Click "Reset counts" in the extension popup at any time. This clears all stored counts from chrome.storage.local. Uninstalling the extension also removes all data.
The website uses Google Analytics (when consented) and Google Fonts. Both are subject to Google's privacy policy. No other third-party services receive data about site visitors.
APICostCalc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site or extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
