APICostCalc exists to answer one question honestly: what will this API actually cost me? Here's how we put the numbers together and what they do and don't include.
Every price on this site is taken from the provider's official public pricing page and listed as a reference estimate. We re-check the providers we cover periodically and date each guide ("reference prices, June 2026"). Pricing in this industry changes often, so we always tell you to confirm on the official page before you budget — and our calculators let you type your own exact rates.
It's the standard, list, pay-as-you-go price for the main models or products — the number most people pay. It is a starting point for estimation, not a quote.
Real bills can differ from list price because of: region and currency, usage tiers and volume discounts, cached-input and batch discounts, add-on features (tools, web search, premium endpoints), taxes/VAT, and — for messaging — carrier fees that vary by country. Our estimates assume standard list pricing without these adjustments unless stated.
The AI cost calculator multiplies your input and output tokens by each model's per-million-token price, times your request volume — the same formula the providers bill on. You can override any price. It ranks every model cheapest-first for your exact workload.
Please tell us via the contact page — we fix pricing fast. Accuracy is the whole point of the site.
